KTD III: The Resurrection
Killed to Death III: The Resurrection is a fictional action-thriller film.
The task was to create a brand guide that could clearly communicate how it should be represented in the “real world.”
This assignment was for a Creative Software class so we were mainly graded on our proficiency in Adobe InDesign, but I decided to have fun and write the lore and the characters of the so-called trilogy.
Why not?
Role: Ideation, Storywriting, Art Direction
Initial Moodboard Studies
Long before the official brand guidelines were created, KTD III had a couple of themes and subject options.
The first board was for a femme fatale concept which was an amalgamation of Catwoman and John Wick. The second board was for a colorful cyperpunk concept where I drew inspiration from the Kpop girl group, Aespa.
I didn’t want to talk about layers or the brush tool, so instead of explaining my process in Photoshop, I wrote short synopses that would help my professor envision the different KTD universes.
Long story short, we both agreed that the zombie concept was the best so I went forward with that.
In this spectacular and widely anticipated conclusion to the Killed to Death trilogy, Agent Valora confronts the greatest rival she has ever known: her mother, the Headmistress.
This time, Valora isn’t in control.
With The Academy’s vast web of connections, threats and betrayal lurk at every corner. Only by relying on her seductive and deadly abilities that she’s learned directly from the Headmistress does she even begin to stand a chance.
Will Valora gain the upper hand or die trying?
